As soon as you attach the bit to the bridle, you determine the comfort and precision of your rein aids.

Make sure the bit is correctly positioned: The star should be on the left and the Velari logo on the right. There should be one or two small wrinkles at the corners of the mouth, and nothing should pinch the lips. Quickly check that no straps are twisted, that there are no sharp edges, and that the reins are attached to the correct ring. This will help you start with more comfort and confidence.
