Our chest protector is ideal for horses prone to chafing at pressure points. It can be used under a stable blanket, under-blanket, or turnout rug to prevent rubbing. The protector is easy to put on; simply place it over the horse's neck and fasten the Velcro closure behind the front legs.
The outer layer of the chest protector is made of a polyester and Lycra blend. The inner layer consists of a Lycra blend and our well-known faux rabbit fur. The faux rabbit fur is placed over the areas most prone to chafing. A Velcro closure secures the protector behind the legs. Because the product is made of Lycra, it easily adapts to all body shapes.
The chest protector is available in four sizes: S, M, L, XL. It is available in only one classic color, black.
Machine wash
Most of our products are machine washable at 30 degrees. However, we recommend washing them as infrequently as possible and using our laundry bags to maintain their quality over time. We also recommend using professional washing machines (larger capacity) to minimize damage from the washing machine drum. To dry the product, simply leave it to air dry on a sunny day. Tumble drying is not recommended.
