Does your horse need a little more room in the chest area? Our chest extension will make sure every rug fits perfectly. Our chest extension is universal and fits rugs with the same type of closure (like the Horseware Amigo rug).

The Chest Expander is perfect for horses with a broad chest or for broader horse breeds like the Quarter Horse.

Fabrics and materials
The exterior of the sheepskin chest extension is made entirely of our artificial sheepskin. This artificial sheepskin is the same material used in our sheepskin transport halter. The chest extension is therefore comfortable and breathable. The chest extension provides additional protection in the chest area.

The exterior of the 2-loop sheepskin quilted chest extension is made of 600D polyester with diamond quilting. It is a perfect match for our stable blanket. This outer fabric is very tear-resistant. The interior of the chest extension is made of our famous artificial sheepskin, which is also used for our famous sheepskin transport halter. It is therefore extremely soft to the touch.

In addition to the buckle closures, a Velcro strap ensures that the chest extension stays in place.

Shape and size
This chest extension provides up to 19 cm extra. This chest extension is available with one or two buckles. The distance between the two buckles is 12 cm.

Care instructions
Most of our products are machine washable at 30 degrees. However, we recommend washing them as infrequently as possible and using our protective washing bags to maintain the quality in the long term. We also recommend using professional machines (with a larger capacity) to limit the damage caused by the drum of a normal washing machine. To dry it, simply place it outside on a sunny day. Tumble drying is not recommended.
